What dump valve

Featured Replies

CEL came on the other day  and VAG COM points to the dump valve :thumbdwn:, so it's time to upgrade to aftermarket

I have searched and searched the forums, and I understand that a recirc/diverter is the best bet, with no preference over the Forge 007 or Bailey DV30. I've also read good reports of the Hyperboost HX valve, and are there any others I need to consider?

I miss the HKS Super Sequential BOV I had on my Pulsar, and while I know I can't match the noise with a recirc, I would like the loudest one available . I understand that a CAI will improve the noise, but thats another decision to make between Carbonio and ABD.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

any recic DV for the otcy will be no where near as loud as the BOV you had, i have recently just got the HX vavle its deathly quitet...not sure how much diffrence the CAI woudl make.... the baileys one is at lot louder espcially when run with a CAI.. the forge ive never seen or heard so cannot comment... however i was told by Awsome GTi that the HX is alot stonger then the forge and a better pruchace..

Just changing the DV will not make that much difference to sound...CAI makes a big difference.

I'm running a standard DV with a CAI and the difference is like chalk and chesse.....quite rorty due to the induction noise and you can hear the dv venting clearly.

OK, I have since fitted a Carbonio which improved induction noise as promised. However the Bosch valve then sounded :ghey: so I finally decided on a Bailey DV30. Easy job to fit, and sounded great but after about half a mile, CEL came on :(

I didn't get a chance to get to the dealer that week for the codes to be read/reset, and after 5 days the light went out, and its been fine now for about a week?

I'm a bit concerned as to why the CEL came on...

I have the bailey recirc valve fitted when the car was with Jabba for it's remap. Certainally louder than standard but you only really notice it when at low speed or when you've got the windows open, driving between walls/cars.

i have joels old atmos bailey dv and its given me no problems to speak of! (touch wood)

Should be ok on standard car but will happen with a remap.

Won't happen straight away but it will happen.
