They've Galloped Off.......15 Of Em!

Featured Replies

Just had my bhp tested by a friend as i was passing his place. Peaked at 77bhp.

Its supposed to be 92bhp isnt it?

I know age and 180k doesnt help, but that many?????? Thats getting up near 20% (i know its not 20% its near! for all the pedants)

Is this normal????? I thought she was pretty brisk

Its the torque that matter imo :D

haha, I think about 100 of my 110 have been buried in a field somewhere :-) Hopefully Mr Muscle will bring them back to life shortly :-)

Though the torque matters a lot in diesel vehicle, i dont think loss of 15 hp is normal. Even if the car is old. Replacing some key component might bring back the lost HPs. Thats how machines work i guess.... Just my humble opinion.

Was that 79bhp at the wheels or flywheel?

That would have been my question too. Wheels or flywheel (corrected)?

And never take the numbers of a rolling road too serious.

I dont know, ill have to ask. However i sincerely doubt its accurate because today she really did give me a good push in the back on the dual carriageway, and even one of my passengers remarked on its potency considering miles.

I wish i never tested it now, as i was 100% happy before, concerned now, and nothing about the car has changed :giggle:

Wish i had money for that chap i know to do his magic on ma ecu, 4 dyno's and a custom map.......mmmmmm....... anyone spot me £250?

itll improve it anyway, you cleaned the inlet manifold at all?

I've been meaning to do mine for ages, it looks like the EGR is full of tar, so I suspect the inlet manifold is not much better.
