Hey guys my drivers side wing mirror hasn't worked since I bought my car and have finally got time to fix it, Im thinking that the problem is with the adjustment cable as the mirror glass can still be adjusted but you have to push the move the glass itself as the little knob in the car doesn't work. It would be a great help if you could inform me of how to remove the wing mirror properly and safety

any help would be greatly appreciated so I shall thank you in advance

IIRC You need to remove the door card, then remove the tweeter think its 1 screw, and there will be 3 screws behind the tweeter, remove all 3 screws and disconnect the wiring connector to the mirror.

Are they electrical, if they are there are no cables . Trim removal tools to get off the back looks like this ,

nope its the good old fashion classic model fabia so no electrical only mechanical adjustment ha, any tips on removing the door car properly?

I would get a sett off trim removal tools, a multi sett of five are between 5 and ten pounds, invaluable to remove any trim, buy some spare plastic " poppers" you are bound to brake a few given your cars age

The new plastic poppers are improved as well anyway.

If I remember correctly (please forgive me if I mix up the front and rear doors), you need to undo the screws at the bottom of the door card. Then remove the little pocket thing where better models have the electric window controls. This is supposed to be done with some sort of tool from behind via the hole at the bottom, to release the catch. Once this is off, the other bit slides forward and pulls off. This reveals two screws to remove. Then I think you have to remove the trim around the mirror adjuster, and only one of the screws needs to come off. Not sure if its the front or rear one. Lastly you need to remove the window winder handle. To do this you just slide the bit at the back of it outwards and pull it off. Then you just need to get your fingers under the door card and pull at the poppers. Once poppers are undone give the door card a firm push upwards. You will be left with the cable on the door handle, It's more obvious to see how it comes off once you can see it.
