Featured Replies

Bumcheeks :(

I have worked out that my rear passangers wheels sits about 3mm further in than the rear drivers

Asking around it seems the mk4 golf family are known for it

:( arse..... How annoying

Now...... I wonder who my nearest option is to sort it ????

Stop ****ing about!

If it drives ok leave it alone. Nothing is perfect!

I was thinking just 1 spacer but Gee then said about this adjustment ????

Just got to find so eone near me that can do it now :(

post me... lol thats gonna be a big box!

I did a 4 wheel alingnment on mine a few weeks back and had to loosen my rear beam off car and knock it about to line rear toe and camber up.

I had to push one side forward and other side back to line it up right, then it was onto front to adjust front end

^^^^^^ exactly that. my bora was the worst. octy was only about 1.8mm out.

Out of curiosity (and sorry for thread jacking Loyd) but wold this cause the car to track differently IE pull to the left??

If rear axle isnt lined up perfect then yeah, when do a 4 wheel alingment you always line the rear end up first no matter what car it is

Man for as long as I have had the car it pulls to the left - been to 4 places for tracking and every time (if they mentioned it) its "nothing we can do"..... :(

Cars would defo leave perfect :D as it seems even 3mm out bugs me lol

It's an easy fix. Sledgehammer on the beam 'leg' to push the wheel out. Sorted!!

You can loosen the four bolts that hold the mounting brackket to the body and move it about a bit if it's not mounted straight, but if the beam is slightly bent (Easy done on a MK4 - Kerbing it etc), this won't help as the toe would be slightly wrong. This is where the hammer come in lol.

A hammer the best way to fix something lol
