The near side door mirror in my wife's Fabia won't move in and out - that is, when move the joystick left and right nothing happens. If you move the stick up and down, the mirror moves, but it's a bit jerky. If you push the mirror into position manually, it just slowly moves out of position.

Having taken the door and mirror apart, it looks like two of the three tubes containing the control wires have come unstuck. If you pull all three tubes tight and use the joystick it works OK. If you let go, only one tube (the central one) works, the other two tubes seem to move rather than the wires inside them.

Anyway, is there a quick fix (add some glue somewhere?), is there a small part required (just the boss and cable assembly?) or do I need a whole new mirror ( )?
