I thought JOM were still going strong?

Have you got a website handy?

your probably right, but they are one and the same, same factory same warranty, same construction, identical products

I've had weitecs on an Ibiza cupra r and they were great, I still go out in it now because my mate owns it, they definitely feel a cut above the Joms i've got on the Fabia.

But got no problems with the Joms and i'd recommend them to, had them on for 6 months and do 360 mile a week and still happy :) Just make sure you slap on loads of copper grease to stop them corroding.

Cheers mate. I've seen JOMs on venom Motorsport for £185 iirc lol, still think I'll go with them, even if they are the same kit as yours, only due to brand name (y)

Don't worry they would be greasier than a "large" McDonald's employees forehead ;)

I plan to spray them with ptfe oil lubricant weekly to keep em from rusting, and enable me to always adjust em

youll recognise em from these pics when they arrive:

Think someone needs a new tyre ;)

Not a lot of travel for the spring though!

nah it has 5mm all the rest, bad tracking once when it was on front.

travel is reduced because it flat out lowered far as it can go. still alot of travel by feel when driving, rear is very comfy

and the top pic has alot more coils up out of shot

Tbh mine won't be slammed as low as it will go, unless I can get away with it ;)

Just trying to think of all the parts needed again.

Top mounts + bearings

Adjustable drop links

Think that's it?

yup! I didnt buy anything else, used existing bearings too. But then my links attach to wishbone and the roll bar goes up away from drive shaft anyway and doesnt foul anywhere else either.

Its always worth doing bearings aswell, i just chose to take the risk

  • Author

I will replace my bearings though, my cars done alot of miles, and I havent been the kindest to it at times :/

Will adjustable links work as well as say mondeo ones?

EDIT

Duh just seen your an octy man!

Edited by Mike18Clark

yeah but ive worked on many cars. adjustables are ok as long as they lock up tight. mine has done 180k miles, bearings fine so far, but they are cheap

I have drop links from a polo. Cost about £40 iirc

Sorry another quick question. Thought id post here instead of starting a new topic

I know the tracking needs to be done after fitting the coilovers, but as the rear axle is "fixed", are there any problems surrounding this?

Cheers

I had no issues with mine, but it would be adviseable to get 4 wheel laser afterwards

  • Author

Yeah I've had 4 wheel before, they adjusted the front and said they couldn't do anything about the back due to it being fixed. Just didn't want to lower it and then it be a lot further out

mine is a fixed beam too and even at 70mm drop it was still fine, as im sure yours will be
