Diesel vs petrol?

Featured Replies

How far north lincs are you from Mansfield? If you are not too far I would go to Shark Performance.

Didn't know about the oil thirst on a lot of vRS'. Another reason i'm glad to have chosen what I did over it.

Mansfield isn't too far away, guess I'd better start saving my pennies.

Hmm, a litre of oil every 1000-1500 miles or DPF issues? If you drive them in normal conditions ie normal motorway driving, a petrol TFSI will give 38-40MPG. if you do a lot of mileage and need a company car, buy a diesel. If you don't, pay for your own car and want a bit of zing, buy a petrol. Simples. Mine uses a bit but not a litre every 1000 miles. Compare to fuel costs, engine oil at £35 for 5 litres from the dealer isn't breaking the bank and it will last between annual services. Each to their own.
