  The four digit hex should be 008A. I don't have a mac so can't test it.

  Mats Petersson Actually, that's wrong, the code is 0160. And on Linux you do that with Ctrl-Shift-U then 0160 + enter: Š

Glad the way of typing Škoda on Linux was mentioned. I knew I'd seen the trick before but run through loads of weird combinations trying to get it but without success. On the plus side I appear to have a new Šhakespeare play if anyone's interested

try using the number lock, then you can use the numbers in the middle of the keyboard (for example, on an HP num lock and U gives 4 - you should see the numbers written on each key, probably in a different colour))

Shkod-uh

as opposed to

Skoad-ah

Š š : sh sound in ship

K k : k sound in kit

O o : o sound in hot

D d : d sound in dog

A a : u sound in fun
