Kenwood DNX520VBT in Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Does any one have the above unit fitted in a fabia?

Ive tried doing a google search and getting varried opinions.

Ive recently purchased a fabia with one in (due to collect Sat)

Now if i have read correctly. This system does away with MDI which means using the USB port in the front of the head unit, which for me is a slight disappointment but not the end of the world.

Also what does eveyone make of its other functions??? I see it used a garmin based sat nav system which i like.

Looking a little I have seen, im not sure I would spent £900ish on fitting this in a car even more so if you have a MDI.

But as it s part of the car guess i cant complain.

Any tips advice, opinions etc please share

Thanks

Hi Crash. I have the option Kenwood unit above as the Skoda own sat nag only used a 6 digit postcode search when I bought my car 1.5 years ago. It is a great unit if you have an iPod/iPhone. My only criticism is that it is very bright in the dark making night driving a minor pain. Email me on [email protected] if you need any advice.
