Ah....this must be their demo. Running 369bhp at the moment but Mike is lowering the compresison ratio. Reckons he can get it to produce 400bhp!:eek:

Saw it last week; got a charge cooler as there's not enough space for a bigger intercooler.

Currently spins it wheels upto 4th gear, IIRC.

A wet weather/winter car then.......

.... for hilly areas ....

One interesting thing that car has got is traction control from the S3. Mike was saying rather than simply cutting the power totally (like our relatively unsophisticated system) the S3 system starts by reducing the boost to see if that works, then gradually cuts the cylinders 1 by 1 until the wheels are gripping. The effect is much smoother and you are still accelerating - just not as fast.

Under normal B road conditions, wouldn't it be driving on 'A' cylinder most of the time then???

Still, it would wake you up on a morning.......And if nothing else, you have got to take your hat off to them for doing it!!!
