well spent the day upgrading my standard exhaust system,, replaced the downpipe and decat with a 3inch single piece jp perfromance decat/downpipe and added a Jetex stainless resonated cat back exhaust system.. i picked these up second hand for a very good price. the only down side was that they came off a mark 4 gti golf.. so i knew it needed modifaction .. the decat pipe had to b extended by a few inches and the tips of the rear silencer had to be extended also. it took a bit of time trying to line the two pipes up perfectly to exit the rear bumper cutout,.butin the end i got there.. overall the exhaust sounds great,,.nice burble from it on idle.. and a nice roar when accelerating.. nothing boy racer or chav ...

anyways pics included. of what i got it like at first, and then to what it is like modified on the car..ps bought all here in ireland off a local chap for 200 euros, which is around 150pounds . see what ye think

ya,,car is mapped indeed..the decat needed extending for some reason,,im not sure though,i think it was cut by previous owner,,anyways i brokeout the tig torch and went crazy lol,,im pleased with the reslt though

i agree..the standard exhaust tip looks a bit cheap looking to me... i may hget my head bitten off by other vrs owners for saying that,,but i think it does and its part of the reason fo went for the change
