Tourist mode lights

Featured Replies

Will my 2012 greenline SE have manual tourist light adjustment ( if that exists?).

I know the elegance have a function in the maxidot - i was wondering before a crack open the 'eurolites'

Thanks

PS: No big rush I'm not leaving until 5 am tomorrow morning :giggle:

Yes, but not the same way as the xenon's fitted to the Elegance, the halogens will require a small lever inside the light unit itself moving.

Thanks for the swift reply Gizmo - any idea on were the lever/switch is ? I've just had a aquick look but can only see bulbs and wires and the normal adjustment white coloured plastic hex bolts.

It is inside the outer (projector) housing,

remove the large rubber bung and have a look inside, you are looking for a small metal lever, you may need a mirror to be able to spot it, the O/S lever will move in the opposite direction to the N/S lever.

Got them. Just a little click across and a metallic 'twang' and they adjusted. They are located quite far inside towards the bottom.

Looking in to the lenses as you adjust them it seems as though a circle of metal moves round to block some of the light coming through from the back of the lens.

Thanks again for your help.

On a related note, we are driving to the Belgium Spa F1 race in two weeks time, I'm looking forward to trying this feature out and taking the Superb on a super long Journey.

Just completed 2650 miles without any problems. The first day of the journey was a comfortable 13 hours without any complaints from the 2 adults or our 15 year old.

The MFD showed we had achieved 52.4 MPG over the whole trip, fully loaded with the climate never being switched off. Really happy with that.
