  • It's the ill people in a hospital analogy. There will be people here with problems. There's loads more owners out there who have these cars who aren't on the forum. The last two I've seen on the roads

  • Picked the car up tonight, felt fine on the way down the road if not smoother which will be down to the new sparkers and the revisied pump Planning on buying an sps device so that i can switch betwe

Unlucky! It's completely settled my choice for Stage 2 or hybrid with APR now though.

Won't be long till all 1.4tsi engine cars will be running Apr software.

Your personal opinion......

I googled it and got this

The code that I recieved was a P2293 "Fuel Pressure Regulator 2 Performance"

maybe your injectors are failing to give the pressure the map requires?

I had a boost solenoid and coolant temp sensor go since ive been mapped.

Yes my opinion but with the way things are going they need to sort things out.

Hopefully you'll get it sorted by dealer.

It took a few weeks for the fault to rear its head for me.

Hmmm wonder if this could be realted to it stinking off fuel on start up.......

Mine always stinks of fuel. Particularly if left sitting idle for a minute or two.

I've got 200cel race cat. The problem is Revo were obiviously worried about pushing things to far after the bad press they got from blowing up the bocanegra they had.

So in turn have made this map very very safe. This has been done by keeping the Afr quite low so the engine is kept very cool by all the fuel. But the problem becomes apparent as the engine doesn't produce a strong enough spark to ignite all this fuel.

Or the other possibility is that this map was designed on the cars with the lesser hpfp. So now our cars have a fuel pump that can force in more fuel the map needs to be adjusted to suit

hope it gets sorted stu!

Looks like APR is the best bet so far. Hope you get it sorted

martyn are you the lucky chap to be on aprs facebook with a new sticker? haha

News to me. I'm still standard apart from Waplord making my car Australian and tweaking XDS for me

ahh i thought you had an apr stage 1 map too. my mistake... haha.

No not yet. Want to see how the car is until warranty runs out. If I still like the car and there's nothing else about I'll go to Stage 1 or even 2 depending on how my budget is.

Car was popping and banging when trying to load it on the trailer sounds like its a fuel problem

Scrapped the bumper putting it on the low loader :(

Not good. Hope you took a photo

Oh dear. Definitely not right then!

Hope they acknowledged the damage and you took a photo.

Was planning on keeping it 3or4 years but think another year will be enough.......if it lasts that long

I'm feeling the same about mine tbh. Don't have any problems as yet and love the car but not overly keen on having the vRS outside its warranty period. In the future if a mate was considering buying a 3yr-old fabia vRS with no warranty I think I'd advise him to steer clear, but then again maybe I'm spending too much time reading this forum!

If you really want to see a forum full of people with problems have a look at Citroen or Renault.
