1.9 TDI PD 105bhp Tuning

Featured Replies

We might be going for a 1.9 TDI PD instead of the 2.0 TDI PD now as SWMBO has decided that the Octy 4x4 might be a better car for us (don't ask :( ) So what is the tuning potential of the 1.9 TDI PD 105 bhp (bit of a comedown 180 to 105 :thumbdwn: )

What are the options?

What are the likely figures?

Darren

Allards will tell you all you need to know, over 200 horsies can be achieved, Lloyd Allards Golf road car which was an old 90 bhp model is currently running well over 200 bhp

web site is here http://www.allardmotorcompany.com/allard.asp

Lloyd is a very knowledgeable chap and now specialises in Diesels. The pedigree of the complany is second to none, give him a call

Try a tuning box.

But does the clutch support it ? Someone on our forum made a 140hp tuning and the engine runs wonderful, but the clutch is "slipping" if you know what I mean :).

It's probably a 'how long is a bit of string ' question, but what is the cost of such tuning and does it knacker other components.......an earlier post for instance mentioned cluthces?
