Had some twunt in one of these try and stop me from overtaking the line of traffic (5 cars) he was leading at 35-40mph (along a straight, mile long piece of NSL road), in my old Golf.

I got along side him and he looked over, dropped a gear or two and put his foot down. I just put my foot down and wafted past him There's no replacement for displacement

What I don't understand though, is that I'd be at the back of this enforced convoy for a while, but it was all bunched up so there was no room to "leap-frog" the other cars, then he suddenly decides he wants to speed up?

Vasically yes... and because he titled his video as being "VS a Fabia vRS" when there was really no "VS" just that he got his foot down, the fabia didn't bother and just moved over to let him pass! lol
