Clutch fluid leak

Featured Replies

My damn octavia'02 has decided to drink more clutch fluid than oil. Sometimes the clutch pedal stays down & I have to pull it back up, this usually indicates the clutch fluid reservoir requires more fluid.

Any ideas as to what could be leaking?

Also the turbo on my diesel only comes in when it wants to, & not when it should.

If I can get these & the failed wheel bearing sorted, it may restore my 'lost' faith in VAG cars.

sounds like master cylinder, how do the brakes feel? the slave cylinder for the clutch may also be at fault, this can be bought for £20.

RE turbo, does it come in then drop power (limp mode) until restarted? Need more info on what turbo does

Cheers for clutch info.

No limp mode. Sometimes it will come in as normal, & other times it may come in late, or come in then drop off. Other days it works fine.

sounds like the usual maf sensor issue, or poss map sensor. needs the codes read really, try unplugging the maf and seeing if it improves - if so its probably that.

If there are no visible drips or puddles of brake/clutch fluid anywhere, then master or slave cylinder. makes sure there is no fluid inside back wheels or running down inside of rear tyres.
