Im intrested in getting some gauges for my fabia but I want them to be same color as the rest of dash the dash is stock colours

Any ideas also how easy is it to wire up the the dimmers

I'm intrested in getting oil temp, egt, and open for suggestions for the last one

Wiring it up to the dimmers must be doable. There should be a wire somewhere in with the stereo connections that controls this. There's a thread on here that tells you what they are all for. I suppose you could use that. I'd be inclined to have a boost Gauge as the last one. Or water temperature but I see you're already planning on making the standard one accurate ;)

+ Why would one want to know the exhaust gas temp?

If you take a feed from one of the other light sources on the dash, you will get the dimming function through that. Provided the leds are the same type as others in the dash/clocks, you can get them from the stealers to match whats already theres.

Best place to get the dimmer feed from is the dimmer switch.

Can't remember which wire it is but use a volt meter to test. I have tapped into it on my car to enable the dash illumination with the ignition on.

that is a idea hmm maby i can look on vagcat for the leds and swap them over if i can source original led's maby boost is a good idea and EGTS make sure the turbo don't go pop
