Octy vrs fuel gauge issue

I think iv a wee issue with my fuel gauge . It hardly seems to move at all .. Even if I drive hard .. It moves up fine when filling with petrol but seems to sit at just under halfway an not move at all ????

you have no choice but change the sender unit in the fuel tank

Just keep it topped up!

Vrs will do 250-350 miles so just fill her every 250 miles and you wont need to spend any money!

I actually think the gauge is working again . It just took a long long long time to drop . It's gone from half tank just just about quarter tank in 70 miles of fairly brisk driving so I think

All is working ok now .. It was stuck at half tank for a long time though

seen them on ebay for £12 second hand so its worth swapping out

Hi Ive noticed my start stop system isnt working and car showing high power consumption when i switch the start stop system to on. Doing so even when no air con is on etc. Display even said engine needed to be running evening though it was! Im guessing battery is on its way out?

Hi, new to forum. Hopefully someone might be able to help. 2011 Octavia Scout, 2.0 diesel. Will start and immediately cuts out. No comms with any module except ECM via k-line. Have changed Gateway module, ECM and instrument cluster for known working units. Unplugged every module. Checked every fuse. All relays good. Other faults - electric windows not working, engine fans running, parking brake warning light flashing. Do not appear to have any commas on Can Bus, would be grateful for any suggest

This is a follow up to a previous question I posed recently. I had a 2008 vRS for over 12 years and really loved it before moving on to something different. Looking to getting back into vRS ownership again and toying with the idea of finding one with the 4x4 drive train. If anyone has been able to compare the two, is there a noticeable improvement in road handling with this variant? Thanks

I’m having a issue on start-up from cold there is a noticeable lumpy idling. This hasn’t caused any massifier codes when scanning via VCDS. Last year as part of the service the sparkplugs were changes but the rough idol is getting more noticeable. My Audi had the same issue that eventually resulted in constant misfire. That was diagnosed as having a carbon build-up. I don’t want to have the same issue occurring with the Fabia. As the CTHE is direct injection and has done 41k miles I’m guessin

Hello people, I got a 2011, VRS a few days ago. Primarily for a long trip. Seems decent so far, but I want to add power, music and just get things working. I have a few issues/questions.
