Bought my 07 Octavia VRS 170 TDI in mid July. It had the diesel particulate light on which cleared on my journey home as I drove it to clear it! This came back on a few days ago, didn't clear with the 1500 rpm run on the motorway... Then the coil light (to right of EMS light) came on and then the EMS...I am now restricted to 3k rpm....

I had someone plug in vcds.... the particulate error remained whatever e did....that I think needs sorting anyway.... we had errors on immobilizer, air-con and lights...we then discovered ther rear brake bulb I had replaced was incorrect...sorted that...same problem....coil light flashing...EMS light on...

Its being looked at next week for full checks and sort thre particulate issue....any advice on what it may be...costs etc and general advice on this at all....look forward to hearing from you all.....

I'm sure you'll get other replies and probably far more informative but for me you're the perfect candidate to get a DPF delete and whoever you took it to should be able to sort out any other VCDS issues.

Could be a faulty pressure sensor or could just require a forced regen.
