I'm having pistons fitted along with cambelt water pump head gasket and head bolts. new oil/filter and coolant. All parts supplied.

The engine rebuild on my van cost me £1500.

Mostly top end damage and headwork required on that though.

Headwork alone came in at about £500.

Would it not be more cost affective to buy a 2nd engine there can be some bargains on eBay now and then? You can also sell injectors ect from the spare engine or your old engine to recoup some money?

Did you go for 2.0pd 8v pistons in the end?
