Can someone tell me where to get a decent rarb upgrade ? Iv looked on eBay an it seems they all cost an arm an a leg :( ... Or are they just an expensive mod anyways ?

Probably the best handling mod you can do to an octy is the 28 mm Neuspeed RARB and Golf R32 FARB. Not really expensive when you consider the Quality of the parts and the handling transformation after fitment.

I had the whiteline 1st on the 3rd hole and it was wicked

Just hung a little low and railed it a few time poppin oneside on a curb lol but it took it

Got the eibach now and all tucked up out the way

Mounting is a complete bodge on the whiteline IMO. I bought one and sold it straight on out of disgust.

I would'nt state the whiteline is a bodge as it does the job it is intended to do well, Ok the box section looks a bit cheap but i think they have improved teh hook up points now to be more in line with the other varations. Plus you are spending half the price of a Neuspeed one. I went Neuspeed as wanted thicker bar though and well chuffed with it and the R32 FARB.

It's the mounting though, sorry, but U clamps around the shape of that beam IS a bodge.

Not really a bodge , just simple, cheap and effective.

Hence the price.

They are the best value for money mod you can do to the car.

230+ for the neuspeed is not value for money in comparrison but when put with the r32 farb its a must.

I have an abd 32mm rarb goin on mine and thats mounted by drilling the beam and bolting it on. No clamps.

Going with a neuspeed 26 or 25mm farb.

My vrs had Neuspeed rear and r32 front and was worth the money all the way with the handling improvement

I must admit..... I Only swapped from whiteline to eibach for tidyness and clearence

The whiteline defo worked very well

Sounds good to me mate. That bar is good andcan also go with the r32 23mm farb at a push.

Prob better matched to a tt 21mm farb?
