Picking up new car tomorrow a Fabia SE estate so will be leaving my 1.9sdi saloon at the dealers with a heavy heart. My wife says it is only a bit of metal but I have really got attached to it as I have had it for 8 years and only problem being a faulty key fob a few years ago. It has never let us down and it was something different, not many about. I know a lot of you on this forum don't like the saloon version, but if Skoda done one in the Fabia 2 I would buy another saloon. Will still look at the Fabia 1 forum from time to time but will look at the 2 site more often from now on

A sad farewell indeed, i have had my 1.9tdi for 6 years now and can not see me selling it anytime soon, everytime is hear of issues with the newer diesels (DPF Mainly) i just hurry back to my '' reliable lump '', i like it so much that we are now going to sell my 2002 BMW 316 to get another 1.9tdi Mk 2 Fabia !!!! I just love um. My mechanic tells me all the time that it is a great engine and one of the best diesels around, it has taken me a while to find a new shape Fabia with the 1.9tdi in it (ie Sport or Fabia 3 spec) everytime i found one and then called the dealer.... they had already sold it within days of taking it in !
