Black Shiny Plastic bits....

Featured Replies

I have decided to blitz the Yeti today with, water, soap and some polish too, not to mention the vacuum cleaner and some dash polish.

So all gleaming and shiny I was disappointed with the the shiny corner pieces that flank the rear above the lights, they were all scratched and looking shabby. (Front ones look like new because they got replaced with the new windscreen)

So I tried some different polish on the plastic, T Cut, was a bit aggressive, resin polish made no effect, BUT Silvo in the can with its own cloth did the trick, a few rubs around and around then a wipe off with a clean cloth the shiny plastic looks like new!

So if your interested in make your black bits shiny try Silvo

Silvo (in the can, as you say) is pretty good for glass too. I got the idea from watching the Queen Mother's chauffeur one day as he attended to a smudged window while waiting for her to finish an engagement.
