Remap done ;)

Featured Replies

Well I've had the car about a month now and done a few bits I wanted to before I mapped it

It's been so tempting to do it straight away but I was patient and waited

So today was the day... The gear came out and I did it at last!

Nice smooth map on it so need to get it on the rollers next

I added my little party trick too ;)

Launch control lol

Oops 2 threads started by mistake :(

Tell us about it then what do you do to launch?

What RPM does it sit at?

When the car is at a stand still... Put it in first, leaving the clutch in of course... Foot on the accelerator and the car will rev up to 2500rpm no further.... Release the clutch and go :)

does it sit stable at 2500rpm? Or does it jump up and down?

It does bounce on 2500rpm but not by much

Needs a little tweaking then. It is fun though.

Pointless but fun :)

Yeah I agree

I suppose it's just nice to say you've got it lol

How did you do this

I want it for a pointless gimmick ??

Can't do the clutch any good surely?

someone who does tuning can calibrate this feature.

If used constantly it probably won't do the clutch and gearbox any good, but no worse than racing off the lights constantly.

All it's doing is limiting what's already there.

"no worse than racing off the lights ". .

but doing it manualy you go off the mark around 1200rpm. . then when the clutch is fully engaged give it the boot. .

with the engine sat at 2500rpm (that's about peak torque) going into the clutch instantly. . .that's asking for clutch failure . . .

yeah i get it must be awesome fun and a real gimic to have but. . .is it worth the bill when the clutch fails?. . i doubt it

Depends whether you use it all the time which I won't be

Had the choice of having it with or without and the effect on driving each way makes no difference

Just an extra option

Its a nice party trick. I prefer it when its rest nicley on the chosen limiter instead of bouncing like a petrol rev limiter. But then some people like the petrol effect
:)

If it doesn't rest, its throws any hope of boost building up into turmoil, because the PID keeps re-adjusting to compensate.

Thats not booting it from a stand still though is it, thats just pulling away normally.
