GREAT stuff mr rooney, I may buy one if they make it for the next iPhone which is rumoured to have a smaller redesigned dock connector. :)

Never heard of this does it fit a iPhone 3GS

I bought one for a Festival weekend a while back. Works great but does make the phone very bulky.

Often take it on trips where I'll be away from power for an extended amount of time. But don't use it as a constant accessory.

Ahh, the joys of carrying an extra large battery so the phone lasts a full weekend.

I'm sure Nokia and co stopped with this back in the late 90's ;)

Nah, You don't want one of those.

You want one of these: http://www.amazon.co...46950326&sr=8-1

A TeckNet iEP387 7000mah dual port 2.1A battery.

I've got one in my work bag for emergency use as you can bet that your phone's battery will go kaput when you're away from the mains or car.

I actually bought both for my festival weekend  . The TeckNet seems to have a high self discharge rate though. Fine if you're using it for a specific period but not so great to leave charged for emergencies.

Never had any problems with it so far in regard to the self discharge, in fact it holds its charge exceptionally well.

Hmm, charged mine about two weeks ago and came to plug it into the iPad today and it was empty.

Maybe I got a duff one. Might try a few charge/discharge cycles see if I can breathe some life into it.

Misses has one and it lasts weeks without self discharge
