Fabia Mk1 Electric Windows Issues

Featured Replies

Hey I tried searching threw the forums but could not find a solution i am getting to a point with my passenger side electric window that i am contemplating replacing the hole mechanism for a handle window winder.

WHen i bought my skoda the passenger side window didnt work so i pulled the door card off and theres no motor or regulator (just a piece of wood holding the window up) So i purchased a second hand regulator and motor, I fitted it all and when i plugged the two connectors in for switch and power my central locking stopped working and my drivers side electric window stopped working unplugging the power block connecter on the passenger side motor and the drivers side and central locking starts working again, I purchased a second motor to see if that was at fault and also took out the passenger door wiring loom and checked it for any breaks which i could not see or any signs of rubbing or anything, I've also checked fuses and swapped the passenger and drivers side but that didnt effect anything.

Does anybody have any more ideas? Thanks in advance

I had a similar issue with the central locking when i tried putting a JVC Stereo in. The car just wouldn't respond to the key.. I gave it up as a bad job.. Will be interesting to see what feedback you get on this.

Anyone know if taking the battery off to reset the control units would help? I can't try this till the weekend so if anyone else has a suggestion I could try them all
