My bog standard 03 1.9TDI needs both front end ARB bushes renewed. Is this something that I could do myself or does changing them require special tools and loads of mechnical knowledge?

Piece of mate to change them, 13 mm spanner required and easy done one side at a time

best bet- remove one wheel at a time, turn steering fully to the opposite lock (gives you loads of clearance- steering gaiter retracts out of the way..) undo the 13mm bolt that holds the bracket and jiggle bracket and the bush out..
