Been told today that it will be 10 days/2 weeks....woot.....woot. Ive ordered the red one, the best colour combo imo. A few questions I have... for nice people to answer...

• Can someone tell me if the wheels come with security bolts?
  
• Can you get touch up paint for the alloys?
  
• Do I need to run in the tsi engine?
  
• Whats the best wax/cleaner to use etc?
  
• Any other tips or hints?
  
• Should I have bought the hyundai i20.....lol, I almost did, The design is so forgetable I would probably loose it in a car park!
  

Yes they come with locking wheels bolts with covers over them all the bit you need to remove them the tools are under the boot floor with the spare if you specd it? If not it will be there iwith a compresoor and tyre filler (personally if you have speced a spare wheel order one with from the dealer

As for washing i try api used quality stuff but fairly priced.

Brands to look at

Auto Glym, Meguairs, Muck off etc.

A good wash mit and loads of microfibre towels are good (always keep grubby towls and use to detail the wheels)

Aviod alloy wheel cleaners with acidic content. Ive seen people use acid base wheel cleaner, but i avoid it for 2 reasons

1. Precaution (if left too long can damage the paint)

2. If you keep on top of cleaning the car you should really need to use an acid

As for running them in many people have different views on.

As far as im aware mordern cars dont have specific run in periods/driving stipulations

That said i would exactly red line everywhere either.

Id personaly drive as you would normally. Should you feel like a play give a little a bit of thrash nothing OTT.

But it suprising what difference drivers and styles do to an engine.

I say this as i worked for a Mercedes Commercial Dealer. We normally have 4 which get replaced in twos (brand new)

2 were exactly same 20,000 miles later the same indetical vans both drove differently from each other.

One was driven buy a slow and cautiaus driver, rarely rushig or pushing the van, this one felt very tight

The second was driven by a driver who was a littlbe more agresive and push it more. This felt apbit loser and slighty quicker.

So how you treat now could effect it charecter later on.

Altho tbh you wouldnt tell as it rare to drive two identical cars and compare lol
