Well my original badge was knackered, almost completely white, so I thought I'd get a retro style pastyboy badge and colour code the grill surround at the same time, unfortunately I failed to clean where the badge sits thoroughly enough, so when I fitted the badge I could see every lump and bump through the badge :wall:

Now after reading various other topics on here I got a pair of Citigo badges, fitted the front today and I'm not sure I like it, hopefully it'll grow on me, what do you think?

It does protrude a little, but no more than my mates Audis badge

I like that, looks smart IMO.

i do really like, it's weird but it'll grow on ppl, looks really nice on the back though

i like it, does it fit into the indent bit same size as the old one? as i thought the citigo badge was slightly bigger?

Yes the Citigo badge is bigger, I was originally going to make the hole bigger for a flush fit but upon looking at my spare surround I realised it wasn't going to happen, so I put it over the recess.

Hmm, looks way too big to me. No likey.

Sorry...

what about trying the boot badge on the front as it's smaller ? Whats the part numbers and much did it cost mate ?

very nice

I think the badges are pretty much the same size but the rear is flat and the front is curved, looking at the original badge it has a slight curve so the front citigo badge matches the profile of the surround quite well.

I'll dig out the part numbers for each when I get home

Goes well with the car

I've been thinking about trying this, but with the Citigo badge being 5mm larger I wasn't sure.

I think you get away with it.

Is that a front one on the front, or did you buy two rear badges?

Also, where did you get them?

I fitted my PB badges, but I'm not entirely happy with them:

I was happy with my pastyboy badges I just fooked up the fitting.

I got two front badges, not attempted to fit one to the rear yet, hopefully do it on my next day off, just hope it sits nicely if not I'll have to change it for a rear badge.

I got mine from ebay, not sure what dealers charge as I live miles away from any.

Part No's:

Rear 1ST853630AAUL.

Front 1ST853601AAUL.

Just better mention, I used the adhesive we use at work for securing bonded windscreens in the recess to help the badge stick as the sticky pad will only secure the badge around the edge, it may be enough but I wasn't taking the chance.

But are the front not curved? Do you not need a flat one for the rear?

Yes the fronts are curved, but the two old original badges that I kept for some reason, look slightly curved so I went for two fronts, bit annoying I wont be able to attempt the rear until Thursday to know how it fits.
