is there any way to stop the bootlid opening so much...?

Featured Replies

Long story short - I've fitted a bee-sting aerial to the car, made of rigid metal, and it catches on the tailgate/spoiler when it opens fully. Has anyone else ever had this problem and been able to stop the boot opening by a small amount? I was thinking of either a strap of some sorts or shorter (but equally as strong) lifting arms.

Smoothing the roof is not an option

Personally I'd bin the metal aerial as youll have poor radio reception. The grub screw will rust in place so eventually you will need a new base. And personally there a bit dated now and hake a bit of a stereo type about them as well.

nah it's on now, imo looks better than the foot long standard one and hasn't altered the radio reception at all.

Also it's gloss black and not a silver or chrome effort.
