  1. Thanks. It has been well looked after and is much-loved. I just can’t keep hold of it any longer sadly. @joshcowin sorry, no heated seats - just standard leather. I’ll sort some interior pics over the weekend.
  2. I need the car gone now - £2k as it stands. ETA - The battery will need charged but i can’t open the bonnet to do so. The car had been getting started and moved regularly until i went away on holiday two weeks ago and let the battery drain like an idiot while i was away!
  3. some pics as the car stands today at my new address - as said above it will get cleaned inside and out and the private plate removed.
  4. Better late than never - photos of the car below. The first few are of my OCD cleaning session after winter 2016 - 2017, including changing the winter wheels over. I haven't had the chance to give it another OCD clean after the winter we've just had but i do intend to give it a tidy up inside and out for the new owner. Please note that the private plate has been removed and the car will go back to it's "07" plate prior to sale.
  5. Hi all Firstly, i haven’t attached pictures as i’m typing this on my phone but will add them to the advert tomorrow when i’m on my work’s computer. Sorry if this breaks any sort of rules. For sale is my much-loved vRS SE, number 304, that i’ve had for 6 years now. I bought it when it was just me and my girlfriend and i needed a good car for going between my house in Oban and her’s in Glasgow. Now she’s my wife and we have two kids so it’s just not practical and we’ve bought a bigger car each. This car brought my first-born home from hospital and she regularly tells me it’s her favourite car in the world so i’m genuinely gutted to be selling it. If i didn’t need the money and parking space i would be keeping it as a toy for us. Anyway, the car has a full service history, is on approx. 108k miles, it has an MOT until mid July and is currently SORN’d. As we live on a private eastate i warm it up every few days and drive it up and down the street to stop anything seizing up. Originally i was going to have it serviced, MOT’d and the water pump replaced (as it’s needing done due to a small leak) but i don’t really have the free time plus with it being SORN’d it makes it difficult to take anywhere. If the buyer requires all this done i’m happy to do it but would expect the price to reflect this. The car has very light modifications - a Shark Stage 1 remap done by the previous owner (which makes it run that bit smoother and with a little more pull), 17” Spider wheels (i have a full set of 5 original alloys that came with the car but need refurbed), Octavia vRS brakes all round with Ferrodo pads and Mintex discs, front tinted windows, Ibiza FR rear backbox, Gecleant.de rear glass wiper bung, Cupra R front splitter, wrapped grille with three vRS coloured stripes, Team Heko wind deflectors and the driver’s door has been de-locked. It also has a Skoda boot mat and a set of Skoda mudflaps all round. The only bad points that i can think of are that there’s a few stone chips on the bonnet, the fan needs a fuse so it only operates on settings 3 and 4, the driver’s mirror glass has a crack and i think it’ll need a clutch slave cylinder soon. I’m happy to fix all known issues but would rather sell it as is so i can spend my weekends with the kids. As said, i’ll add photos tomorrow from work. The car is located between Glasgow and Cumbernauld. I’m looking for £3,000 as the car stands or £3,500 with the wheels refurbed, a fresh MOT etc. The first to see the car will buy as it’s a cracker and has served us well.
  6. Superb, cheers guys. I had a feeling it was an offset pin bulb that i bought for the Fabia
  7. Hello all The wife has my car for a few days while i'm away with work and text me earlier to say the indicator was flashing really fast - i told her to check if a bulb was out and she text back saying the rear one wasn't flashing. Are these a standard pin or do they have an offset pin? I'm nowhere near the car to check and remember buying offset pin bulbs at one point (although that could have been for any number of cars!) and the missus wouldn't have a clue what i'm asking her to check. Can anyone confirm what they are so that i can order a new set and have them waiting for me to fit when i get home? Cheers Kevin
  8. my thoughts before posting here were between £3-3.5k so that's probably what i'll stick it up as - got a load to do before that though - move house this week, baby's due next week...
  9. apparently just a whisker under £4k according to what the only vRS SE on Auto Trader is advertised at. It hasn't sold at that price, hence why i'm asking on here. Thanks for the reply though.
  10. I thought there was a "What's my car worth?" section on here but i can't find it. Apologies if this is in the wrong place. Firstly, this is not a for sale ad. I'm a Freedom Member and will post a proper advert if / when i decide to sell. The car is an 07 vRS SE - 304 of 1000. Mileage is approx 105k and it is used as a daily about 25 miles of motorways to and from work so this may creep up. It has never wanted for anything - anything that has ever broken or malfunctioned i have replaced via a mate in a Skoda dealership. It has a full service history and was just serviced and MOT'd last week (prior to me thinking about selling it) but i really need something bigger with our 2nd child on the way. I'm toying with buying a 3 series BMW but haven't really decided for sure yet. The car has a Stage 1 Shark map on it and pulls as expected. It has Octavia vRS brakes all round with Mintex pads and discs on every corner with the rears only fitted about 1200 miles ago. It's on 17" Octavia Spiders with Toyo Proxes TR-1s having covered less than 3000 miles. I also have the standard wheels (including a 5th alloy as a spare) which would need tyres. I'm happy to put tyres on them and sell the 17s separately if that works out better. I sill have the original brake calipers although they would require a rebuild. The front windows have been lightly tinted to take away the severity of the rears, it has the driver's door lock removed and a colour coded handle cap fitted and i have fitted a set of projectors to the headlights. There's also a gecleant.de rear glass wiper bung and a black wrapped front grille with tri-colour stripes to match the new front and rear badges. It has had the dreaded lacquer peel on the spoiler professionally fixed by a bodyshop and there's a genuine VAG fifth headrest in the seats and an aftermarket armrest fitted in the front. It always kept clean and sealed so apart from some stone-chipping the paintwork is immaculate. I've had the car for 5 years now and genuinely love it. I'm in two minds about selling or not and want to do the maths before taking the plunge and going German. What is a realistic asking price? I'm not a dreamer that will hold out for top money and never get it, i want a realistic figure so that if i decide to move on i can sell it without hassle. Cheers all
  11. Correct! Although, this seems like the place to post it
