VRS Clicking noise possibly from the running gear?

Afternoon all

Noticed that recently on full boost my car seems to make a clicking noise that appears to be coming from the running gear on the drivers side. Its not as defined a sound as a CV joint click (the sound they make when they are knackered), its higher pitched but always comes in on full boot. Really difficult to tell where its from though. Anyone experienced this or have any ideas what this mystery sound could be?

the plot thickens...... just been out for a spin and thought I'd turn ASR off this time. Give it some stick and no clicking noise. Can I assume then that the noise is simply the ASR "thinking" about coming into action?
