a long shot electrical help!

Featured Replies

Well the other month i was bored and was thinking what mods i could do and i had the idea of putting electric windows i the rear of my mk1 vrs. Well i checked the door wiring diagrams at local skoda garage and the fronts were the same wo i thought plug and play possible vagcom amendment.

Well got the rear window mechs out of a elegance and put them in and the didnt work found out wiring loom to the b pillars wasnt the same nor the fuse board so ran a live in and pow they woek from the switch but they stop when engine is running:-(

I am thinking its the conveniance unit.

My question is has anyone else done this mod and if so have they got it working and know what i need to do in vagcom???

Thats once i wire the rears up to the conveniance unit.

Cheers in advanced.

You need to tell the CCU how many power windows you have.

Well if thats the case i am close to victory! Will get the ccu wired in then get vagcom hooked up and see how it pans out. This fun just sitting in back with engine off putting window up and down electrically.

I am easily pleased.
