KW V2 adustment

Featured Replies

decided to raise my suspension slightly as it catches on kerbs and things when i park, the only problem is the purple lock ring seems to have seized onto the damper

i stuck a load of penetrating oil onto it and left it, tapped it with a hammer to try and release it a bit, tried convincing the spanner round with a hammer but all to no avail.

anyone got any experience or idea's on what i could do?? i was thinking of removing the dampers, cutting the aluminium rings of replacing them with either new standard ones or getting a local engineering firm to make me some out of co-ro or steel

Their is a small screw you need to undo a few turns before you can turn the purple ring, needs a small allen key. Once undone slightly the ring will turn as long as the threads are clear of mud etc. They are very tight if you are doing it with the car on the ground, its much easier if you can raise the wheel from the ground. Make sure you turn each side the same amount otherwise your car will be all lopsided.

i didn't see a grub screw anywhere

i had the wheel off the ground with the springs off so no weight at all on the ring. will try again another day
