  • I love it, if i could have specced it, i would have!

  • I ordered a white one yesterday with these seats.... Worried about the white... I was torn between white and silver

  • Wasn't too keen on this when I first saw one (ditto vectra1 - too much red) but having seen a couple now it has grown on me. Would be good too see a variety of colours on the stitching though (or eve

These are my favourite seats for the vRS. I would have spec'ed them on my car but the blackline was just to good a deal to turn down.

The red stitching will look good on any colour vRS, in fact in any coloured car for that matter.

I reckon it'll look best on a red car but I wouldn't hesitate to spec it on a race blue vRS.

Nope that's the only downside

That must be a UK spec thing, I have that trim and MF steering wheel (2012 DSG CR). Trim is nice, really love the black pillars and roof, just wish the "carbon fibre effect" would at least remotely look like carbon fiber.. in actuality it's more like "gray triangles on black background effect" :)

Yep, anorher crazy skoda uk spec c*** up

Agree the carbon fibre effect could be better, but still looks good and definitely better suited than the silver

Definitely agree about the carbon fibre looking better than the silver. I think the silver would look a bit out of place without the white inserts in the seats.

I have got this interior in my white vrs estate, with the bum warmers. It looks fab, very pleased.

I have a race blue with the alcantara and it looks great. I worried a bit when I ordered but so glad I did. The dealer on hand over agreed it was the best colour interior.

I really like the Alcantara interior on the vRS - second only to the leather in my opinion ;) I'm probably getting old as I find the standard interior on the vRS to be a bit harsh and garish these days with the white (ish) inlays on the seats.

I have a black blackline an d red stitching would have looked great. Cabin needs a bit of colour. My old golf gti pirelli had yellow stitching and really set of the interior. If skids offered the red stitching I would have definately gone for it.

Yep, that's a dsg.

It was mentioned above that multifunction s/w wasn't available even with DSG in this trim???

I have a UK VRs with DSG, red stitching and Multi-function wheel, so yes it is possible. I was told by the dealer that the Multi-function was only an option on the DSG equipped cars regardless of trim. The website also blocked this as an option when I originally specc'd a manual.

Out of interest, for those with the alcantara interior option, what's the advice on keeping it in good nick and clean?

Is there any additional guidance on this? Can't imagine it's made it into the User Manual....

We did a rather stupid test with alcantara - refurbished our company vans steeringwheel with alcantara to see how long it will last with heavy usage by number of people. It is actually very durable to wear and tear, but really doesnt handle any kind of grease well. So as expected after a few months the steeringwheel started to look shiny and lost the softness thanks to oils and grease. We just switched back to leather, never tried to clean it.

I use the Gtechniq I1 product, its similar to a Scotchgard type product except a 100ml bottle is about a tenner and does a fantastic job! A week after I bought the car brand new, I applied the I1 product (its just a pump spray type bottle, spray the seats and carpets and let dry) and about 3 weeks later I popped to the shop bought a bottle of milk put it in a carrier and put it on the front seat, went around a corner the bottle toppled over and I didnt relaise but the bottle top wasnt secured properly and some of it seeped out and onto the alcantara part of the seat, grabbed a microfibre cloth and just gave one wipe and it mopped it all up, and the seat shows no stains, no markings and most importantly with milk, no smell afterwards, so thats what I se to protect them and it does what it says it will, as for normal cleaing on them I just hoover them and thats it.

Any chance of a part number for this?

Thats my car pictured on here, yes its totally standard as ordered from the factory, black seats with red stitching, DSG box with MFSW and heated seats, all as ordered from the factory, if the dealer told you that you cant have the MFSW with these seats on a DSG then they dont know the product they are selling, its irrelevent now as you cant order it no more, but its something to do with the bluetooth or something on the Skoda computer and the codes, it is possible to order it, it just needs checking to make sure the correct combination was ordered, when they ordered mine originally the car arrived with full leather, not the black alcanatara as I wanted, they had to re-order the new replacement car for me, only had to wait an extra 12 weeks...!! Frustrated!!! I must admit I do love the combination and with the white paint and the black alloys it all flows and teh car has a white and black theme with red accents, and despite people saying there is too much red stitching going on there isnt, the balance is just right and I am one of the most conservative people going when it comes to colour combinations so if I think it looks good then it must do!!!

Cheers James. The I1 stuff is a nano-level protectant, which explains why the bottle is so small and you need so little :)

Glad it's already proved its worth for you! Was just wondering what could be applied really, and most importantly how the alcantara would react. But it sounds like it's quite durable and the protectant products you'd use on a standard fabric can also be used here.

Yep that's the stuff, I have alcantara in the Superb and like James also applied I1 within days of having it. I'll be added another coat in the next few weeks, as the car is now over 12 months old.

Having kids the I1 has already proved it's worth - not only does it repel liquids very well but I find it keeps the dirt off too, it just requires a good vaccuum every now and again to keep it looking fresh. I can certainyl vouch for I1.

Is MFSW standard with DSG?

As far as I know it is, it came on mine

On a VRS yes, not sure on other models though.

In the past I have never bothered with fabric protectents etc, not sure why, just never bothered, but my two VRS's in the last couple of years I have done, at the cost of it every 12 months or so its well worth doing and the milk problems showed its worth!

Incidentally I had a small bit left in the bottle, so sprayed my new jacket and also my little girls school coat, and with the recent rain etc on walking to school her coat is beading like mad where as all her class mates coats are soaking wet!!! Seems odd seeing her coat bead like a car thast been waxed!!!
