Hello to you all,

Have you had running issues with your 170PD 2.0 diesel after having the Piezo injectors replaced as per VAGs recall earlier this year? I have and I am sure that this is directly due to the injector recall.

I am currently building an evidence pack to present to Watchdog, so if you have had problems please reply to this post or PM me. I need simple details of your vehicle make model engine etc...

When were the injectors replaced?

When did you experience a problem?

what problem did you experience post injector recall?

What was the diagnosis?

Was the problem resolved?

If so, did the retailer resolve it or did you have to inform HQ customer services?

Thanks for your time

Kind regards,

Nick

Welcome, you might want to have a look at this thread.

2007 (57) PD170 TDi Octavia vRS. 33,000 miles, full main dealer service history.

- 13th October 2011.

- Noticed the issues within a few weeks.

- Lumpy idle, reduced MPG, poor starting, rising oil level, failed turbo, repeated illumination of the DPF light.

- Diagnosis unconfirmed. Dealer had the car almost 20 working days in the end.

- Partial fix. Injector seals reseated, car now runs smoother, oil level settled. However, still reluctant to start, new turbo whistles much more frequent DPF regens.

- Dealer admitted that they were at a loss, Skoda UK involved, they too decided that there was nothing more that could be done.

You may want a more descriptive thread title too.

I don't think ALL people using this forum run a 170 PD 2.0 diesel.
