One Lunched Furby vRS Alloy - New set wanted!

Featured Replies

I have had my Furby now since 2005. I've been meaning to give it some love rectifying a dent, the de-lacquered spoiler and corroded original alloys (c. 2004).

Today's outing has resulted in...

Now I'm sure this will polish out :giggle:

Please all have a good giggle. Perhaps this will commence the start of getting my car back into better cosmetic order.

But if you do know anyone wishing to sell a full set of spider alloys in good order, please PM me. I have 16", but would consider 17".

I needed a full set of new tyres *anyway*, but was hoping to recondition mine!

Oh my service and MoT is in 5 weeks times. This month is going to be expensive

Thanks

Neil

Supplementary - if I have to order new, where will be the likeliest cheapest place to look. Found two sites thus far (nothing on ebay). Cheapest was £144/corner. Is that reasonable?

You sure it's lunched? Was speaking to someone the other day, saying that alloy can be heated up and repaired from a dent like that.

Speak to some refurb companies, it might be cheaper...

Or single alloys come up on eBay fairly regularly.

That's repairable I'd take it to a wheel refurber to sort though

Defiantly repairable, guys that do alloy welding will probably be able to sort this

This happened the clio I drove, put a block of wood against it and hammered it out lol never looked back and was still going strong when I got rid lol

Thanks guys. Booked into the body shop to sort the alloy out, plus my o/s corner dent. If he can de-ping the alloy, he'll get my business to sort the others :)

This will put me back on track to having a shiny Furby once again :)

Heat gun and a rubber mallet would cost you very little to sort that!

Done it many times!
