Sky on Xbox - headphones?

Featured Replies

Hi.

When I watch ski on my Xbox, headphones don't seem to work. Is this normal? Is there a fix? Headphones are connected to the tv so I don't understand how this can be blocked. Wierd.

Won't they need to be connected to the Xbox? I use Sky on my Xbox all of the time and use my Turtle Beach headset, which is connected to my TV and my Xbox.

Normaly when I use the xbox the souund is throught the telly (HDMI cable) and when I need to play using headphones I connect them into the TV's headphone socket and I can hear the xbox and games fine.

However if I fire up the SKY app on the xbox I get picture & sound throught the TV OK but no sound on the headphones. Maybe the SKY app does not transmit sound via HDMI.

So, How do headphones connect to the xbox? Interested in this. USB I guess?

Does the Sky app give sound over the TV? If so then it transmits sound over HDMI.

I'm not sure if the Sky app thing would be able to detect what was happening to the sound once it had left the 360 though (i.e., TV, then headphones, or TV then amp, or amp then headphones etc).

Yep. Sky app works fine over tv, and the headphones work with games. Odd huh.
