it should be a good show... just maybe a podium first time out... then all they need is mcrae and makinen next season....

..and announce the Octavia and Fabia vRS 'Evolution' roadcars with 2.0 20V T engines , and 4WD....

Shakedown complete, it went well for Skoda with settings tested and a bit more learnt about the car.

RomanKresta (ex-Skoda driver) managed to roll his 206!

I DO like that piccie of the Fabia, Erik. Really good shot that. I also see that Shell is a major sponsor too. I wonder if they're running on Optimax then? :D

This is the first time I've seen a Fabia with all four wheels off the ground! ( Without it being jacked up at ATS or wherever  )

If it goes as well as it looks then it should be winning by the time the WRC gets here in November!

Nice - The interviewer should have asked how long it will be for a WRC edition Fabia to be available...!

Its a bit of a shame I'm up north this weekend, as it will be a bit more difficult for me to keep up with the Fabia's progress in the WRC.

THAT's what the Fabia WRC reminds me of - the Metro 6R4 !

I certainly hope there's more to the Fabia than a 6R4 because having had the wings off the 6R4 yesterday there's nothing much holding them on.....

lets just hope it wins!!!

Winning this one might be a bit hard but the overall package seems better than the Octavia and must bode well. All they need is for VW to free up a bit more cash ;)

Italso doesn't look anywhere near as ugly as this:~

i like the focus... looks mean and evil... (like my wife)

Is it a genuine rally spec 6r4 you have?

Yes I co-drive in that beast! 2.8 V6 4wd geared to 120ish max but 0-60 in just over 3! Out in it tomorrow on the Promenade Stages, Wallasey. The 2.5s are a fair bit quicker than ours and there's 4 of them out :(

Kahle and his Octavia WRC 2 failed pre-event scrutineering due to turbo and exhaust mods, they've had to change the whole lot before being allowed to start.

First stage due to start in about an hour or so :)

Paul

How much will it take to keep the forum silent on that last remark? :D

Shall we have a "German WRC - updates" thread then, so that people who want to avoid it till tonight (when on ch4 - 7.30) can do so?

I'll start a thread.... :D
