Price of a vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all just a simple question. I can buy a new vrs solid colour no extras for around £13,600 vat free. So why are used 6/12 month old ones 3000/15000 miles £13500/£15000.

Used prices will be based on the normal full price plus a good margin for the dealer.

That is the 'Asking Price' of the used cars.

You do not have to pay that if you do not want, but the Dealers have taken them in as a Trade in or bought through the Trade,

they need to advertise them at some price.

What matters is how much they actually are getting for them if someone buys them.

Or is anyone buying the Used ones at that price.

When I was looking for mine last month it was surprising how much you can get off the dealers price. I managed £1750 just over the phone. I watched auto trader for ages and they were not selling so a cheecky offer was on the cards :).

I paid £10500 for my 2010 car. 20,000 miles.

We bought our vrs last june and it was £13995 with 6mile on the clock which i thought was a good price. (skoda werent doing the vat free deal) when we where looking other wise a brand spanker might have been on order.

and used cars have 20% VAT added as well.. so daft as it sounds a new Skoda is less than a year old model!!

? No vat on a used car.

VAT is not applicable to used cars as it has already been paid.

Vans are different when the screen price is ££££ + VAT.

To the OP you could find that these cars were bought in when the VAT offer wasn't applicable to the vRS, so there was a potential good saving for a 'nearly new' car. But now the vRS is less the VAT (£2,800 ish) they do not seem to be as appealing - spec dependant!

Have you got one entry spec ££££

Unfortunately not and I can't see any 'free stock' available either.
