Coolant Sensor Plug

Featured Replies

Well my saga with the Engine Coolant Sensor continues...

my mechanic mate had a look at it over the weekend, when he was doing an oil service and fitting my Poly console bushes.

He couldn't see anything obvious with the wiring - no breaks, water ingress, etc.

He did say, when moving the wires about, it did result in the CEL coming on/going off, etc. so I think it's definitely a wiring issue.

My next step is to replace the sensor plug so I was planning to source one with a few inches of wire attached and get it soldered in place of my own one - in case it's the actual plug that's at fault.

Does anyone know if this plug/the coolant sensor are generic parts - i.e. can I take the part of something like a different spec Fabia, Octavia or even another VAG group car?

My access to breaking VRS is not great hence why I ask!

Cheers.

You can get the plug housing and the terminals to go in it.

The part number is on the housing and the connectors are an associated parts with that in ETKA
