Coolant migration

Featured Replies

Just found this sticky on one of the forums.

It appears that the coolant seeps from the expansion bottle connector and works its way along the wires to the instument cluster causing the cluster to fail and needing to be replaced

Do Skoda's suffer with this problem of coolant migration? They use the same parts as the affected VW's.

Checked both our cars and they appear OK.

The mod to avoid the problem seems easy, the repair (and cost) if you have the problem seems horrendous.

Worth looking at the Technical service bullitin linked from within the thread.
