Hello all, I am a member for sometime in this forum but this is my first post here, so I thought to say hi.

I initially joined when my father purchased a Superb 1.8TSI, but now I just bought an Octavia 2.0 TDI 140PD (54 plate) for my daily run around.

I think there are a few minor things for me to sort out with this car, but what I can say from my experience with the car for the last few hours is that it is really powerful and quite economical. I could not believe in my eyes when the Mpg meter indicated an instant 70 mpg and the average was around 51mpg.

I think if I fit some good tyres that the car needs, and maybe some 16" wheels instead of the original 15" the car should give better feeling on the road without sacrifising mpg. The other thing I would like to do is to add a cruise control function. that way my motorway trips will be even more economical.
