Bluetooth

Anyone else having problems with their bluetooth? mine keeps on either saying not connected when it says connected on my phone, or the phone calls are going through my phone instead of speakers, so for about the third time today i've had to completely unpair and re-pair the two devices

I've only had very occasional problems, and find that if the PID is saying not connected but my phone is saying connected, switching bluetooth on my phone off and on again quickly solves it. Saying that, I've only had to do it a handful of times, certainly not multiple times in one day.

ive had the car a week now, had to do it about 3 oor 4 times in total, but yes I've also tried that turning bluetooth off and on again and it generally connects again, but then on the odd occasion just goes haywire and the PID crashes as well and I have to hold the power button down for like 10 seconds and reboot it.

Aalso randomly during songs it'll cut out briefly for like 1-2 seconds then carry on playing.

I'm 95% sure it's not my phone as I used it all the time in my fabia with a sony bluetooth system and that worked all the time with no problems!

How annoying! Any chance of trying it with a different phone, just to rule out a bluetooth issue particular to your phone? I'm just thinking this would give you a stronger argument for having the PID looked at/replaced under warranty. I'm assuming you got the full warranty with your car despite the unusual circumstances of purchase!

Yea, i've got a five year / 100,000mile warranty, I might be able to try it with an old blackberry i've got, or buy a bluetooth mp3 player and test it, it is annoying though, I used to like just setting off and pressing play, i spent 20 minutes in asda car park this morning at 7am reconnecting it haha!

Mrs is always having this problem. Phone appears to be connected and she makes or receives a call and it often routs the audio through the phone so people end up talking to the inside of her handbag. I'll have to borrow the car so that I can have a look at it. She has a Samsung Galaxy Note btw.

If this is such a widespread problem then it needs to brought to attention of Garmin/Navigon and Skoda. Hopefully fixable with a software update.

His bluetooth seems a bit more jittery than mine on his Iphone 4S also had to hold powrr button down for ten seconds and reboot to get the music coming through even after trying the manual override in the device list

after I deleted my friends device just now and drove back from his house it is now terrible, when just driving down the road it is cutting out quite often and then I have to manually reconnect it, i've tried rebooting my device and deleting the pair from each device etc, possibly a faulty PID?

We are having a similar problem in our Citigo. It seems to forget to connect to my wife's HTC, even though it is still listed in trusted devices. Another strange one is that when using my iPhone to stream music via Bluetooth I can usually use the track skip buttons..........but not always.

PID = great when it does what it should, a little frustrating when it doesn't.

This is why I would have liked to have seen a proper MDI/USB input option too.
