So it's time I said hello. I've been a member for a while, but never posted for some reason.

For the past three years, I've had a Skoda Felicia 1.3 Classic, a corker of a car that's served me well. It had only 50k on the clock when I bought it and I've added another 21k since, probably making it work harder than it ever had in it's previous 12 years of existence.

On Wednesday I'm going to collect a Skoda Roomster 1.2 S. Unfortunately it's the base 3 cylinder engine not the better TSi model, but that said with less than 14k on the clock and priced at a fair bit less than 6 grand for a 59 plate from a reputable chain with 12 months warranty, full MOT and a full years tax, it strikes me as a good deal. My only bugbear is the fact that on the base model there are no glove box lids which I would love to remedy

So there you have it. I'll be onto my second Skoda and so far I'm a happy camper and very much looking forward to this new car.

Thanks mate. I think the Roomy will be another great motor, as soon as Skoda announced it I knew it would be a car I wanted. I'm a lover of all things practical and this sir, is practical
