Car covers

Featured Replies

Anyone else get a slight sense of excitement when seeing something wrapped up under a car cover?

The intrigue caused by knowing whatever is underneath is deemed important enough for the owner to put it under a cover?

A covered car appeared on the street at the end of my work road and all i could think was i wish i knew what pristine exotic must be under there.

Was super disappointed when the cover blew off in bad weather and it turned out to be a Volvo S40 :S

Haha brilliant! I always get tempted to have a peek to see what wonderful exotic car is hidden too

It's usually a rusty old MGB in my experience.

I don't get excited. :)

Or a kit car someone's never finished. There's one on a street by me. There was for years a Lancia Delta Intergrale in black under covers by where you start on Pembrey flats. Was there for years and years then it disappeared.

On Brixham harbourside there is a Jaguar XK coupe which seems to permanently live under a cover and never turns a wheel.

It does protect the car from an inordinate amount of seagull/pigeon poo though !

One thing you do often get under car covers is scratched paint.

Dust, wind and a plastic sheet makes a pretty effective piece of sandpaper.
