uprated clutch

Featured Replies

How can you tell if you have an uprated clutch? My car is at 70k and lets just say its had a hard life sunce me owning it. But there are no.signs of clutch slip like others het even with the remap and ive found out it was maped previously so i was wonderimg if the car had had the clutch done prior to me owning it aswell and dont see how i could find out .

Thanks in advance

If you had it out and had a picture of it I could help identify it :)

I was hoping there would be a way of finding out without taking it out as im not that mechanically minded and dont want to pay to get the same clutch taken out and re fitted tbh

There isnt really a way of doing that... Unless you get the car well over 300lb/ft and see if it slips or you take the pluge and fit a performance clutch kit :(

If it helps we offer our own performance clutch kit which has a really great level of torque options! :D

As long as its still going strong i dont see the difference in wether you no or not?!

Agree with the above! If it isn't broke don't fix it :D

Mike

Yeah if its broke don't fix it but if you do decide to our kit is just £475 delivered.

That is for the SMF, the slave cylinder and stage 1 clutch kit, or £425 if you don't require the slave.

The main reason being i was thinking about going stage 2 remap to get a little more umph but tbh im not really sure what id need and if my turbo could take the extra power as its pretty much a brand new pd130 kkk

Is the clutch heavier then a standard vrs? When I got my upgraded clutch I noticed straight away the difference in peddle. Jump in a standard one and compare the feel. that should give you a better idea.

Well go stage 2, if your cluctch fails it fails you will have to upgrade it, where as if its standard you'd have to upgrade it anyway!

6 and 1/2 a dozen

6 and 2 3's

Clutch aside, a standard KKK is likely to eats itself at a stage 2 type power! They struggle on factory power without disintegrating!

In that case looks like ill go for a bigger blower then map then clutch if it rips itself apart

The Awesome clutch kit does have a very oem clutch pedal feel to it! :)

Stage 2 mapping you will really need to start looking at a performance clutch kit!

Anything else I can help with just ask!

Awesome Mike

Kkk 130 turbo will take a stage 2 map for a very short time! Big power doesn't have to mean huge torque
