Octavia I remote central locking reprogramming

Featured Replies

Evening all, I hope someone can help me as I have searched the forum and found 3 different guides but nothing works.

I have 2 keys for my car, they both open the doors manually and start the engine but only one unlocks the doors remotely.

I have tried the main key in the ignition ON position, locked the car manually using the key to be programmed but when I press the unlock button I don't get a beep from the horn, I have even tried it with the key that does work and there is still no sound from the horn.

I am now lost as to what to do because I dont really want to go to the stealership.

If anyone has any information it will be greatly appreciated.

Mine doesn't sound the horn either, tho the reprogramming works. I think the horn only sounds on cars with factory alarms fitted

Tried but nothing worked....think this will be a trip to the stealership....

Does the red light come on when you press the button, could be the battery?

The red light illuminates when the button is pressed, but nothing and I mean absolutely nothing happens when I try to programme the key fob..

Id try changing the battery just incase its that m8
