Hey guys did a search but came up with nothing so here's hoping someone can help my fabia has got a loose gear stick like it will twist from side to side it is a pain while changing gear, is this a fault that anyone has suffered before?

I'm going to take it off to have a look later but if anyone knows a fix then that would be great cheers.

Pop up the gaiter, see if it's twisting on the shaft or not.

When shifting quick it's a real pain but I've now got used to it tbh (had it 5 months ish)

squeeze round the base of the gaitor and it should come away, lift it up over the knob and you should see a little crimped ring holding the knob in place. Loosen it off with a flat head screwdriver, and see if you can recrimp it tighter.

Mine was the same, but having crimped it tighter it only twists a slight bit with the rest of the stick and it's much much better than it was

Wicked cheers guys its the crimp its loose so I'm going to get myself to the DIY store and get a new crimp
