New Octy vRS Owner.....

Featured Replies

Been lurking round for a few months now while looking to replace my 2007 Astra 1.9 CDTi 150.

Umm'ing and arr'ing whether to stay diesel or go to petrol turbo was a big step (especially after driving turbo diesel for the whole of my driving career so far!) and almost bought an Octavia before the last Astra so this time the right one came up and I took the plunge!

Here is the only picture I have of her so far!

JabbaSport remap to around 250bhp (Need a RR to confirm as only have a receipt)

Factory Xenon Headlights with washers and self levelling

Half Leather and Alcantara Interior

Full Colour Screen Sat Nav (MFD2) and 6 CD Changer

Jumbo Box (Air Conditioned Arm Rest)

Tyre Pressure Monitoring System

Official Floor Mats.

4 New Bridgestone Tyres fitted 8 weeks ago.

Coilpacks Replaced last month.

Cambelt and Waterpump replaced.

I bought this and was left with change from the Astra so am well happy.

Future Plans for it are:

Fix a key mark on the drivers side

Fit Reversing Sensors

Add iPod compatability

Lower on Eibach Sportlines

Tint Rear Windows

Opinions welcome :)

Hello R8MXX and welcome along

Looks a good 'un, has all the right kit other than a spare wheel unless you've forgot to mention it and, most importantly is in the best colour

Hi and welcome aboard.

A very smart looking Octi

good man. i'm looking to buy one in a few weeks. did the mileage make you wary at all? it's good that you got change from the Astra. i have a vectra with the 1.9 cdti so hoping to get a good sale on that.

Have you found any niggles with it yet? it looks like it's in really good nick

Seems loads of us are ditching vauxhall for skoda

Yup, it has a full size spare in the boot.. Did forget to mention it! These skodas really do come with nothing as standard don't they!

I knew the engine is good for the miles as my mums partner has a 2005 A4 S-Line 2.0T FSI with 120k on the clock and still going strong!

It got a bit of a misfire from cold and at low revs but believe it to be a dirty throttle body. Its going to my local VAG specialist in the next week to be sorted....

Yep, had enough of new school Vauxhall. My MK5 Astra Sporthatch cost me far to much, a shame they started to use Fiat bits!

I have a 2003 Astra 2.0 DTi SRi that is used for the commuting car with 142k on the clock and still going strong due to its izuzu heritage!

However I do still own and run a Vauxhall Owners Club for the South West....
